winery visists barossa

Alice, an exercise physioligist, and her uni/netball friends group decided to have a day in the Barossa for the Gourmet weekend. After searching the web and gaining some quotes, she decided the best people to deal with was Vin’s Buses & coaches, the staff being polite and on the ball. For the 24 passenger minibus, the price too, was more than competitive.

They wanted a leisurely day, not a full-on tour, so elected to have a tasting at Seppeltsfield and Chateau Tanunda, then go on to Whistlers where there was a band and a great selection of gourmet food, including lamb burgers, spatchcock. The range of sweets included a local German treat …beinstick. Most dishes cost $10 or less, so was great value too.

Seppeltsfield was delightful …”absolutely lovely” said Alice. “And we had a great time again at Whistlers, having been there last year.”

“Andy, our driver for the day, was just great, obviously very experienced, and helpful. We would certainly recommend Vin’s and Adelaide Minibus…… timely, trustworthy, tremendously terrific transportation!!”

Footnote: The full Vins tour leader/driver team have recently participated in a comprehensive training program to update their skills and knowledge about wine tourism. Included in this was the required protocols for being a tour leader, the history of the Barossa and other wine regions of our state, the key attractions, and  the essentials of viticulture and winemaking. The training was led by Wayne, our marketing consultant, who  has his own vineyard and small winemaking operation in the Barossa Valley.
